When you walk through our doors or join us online, you're not just receiving a service—you're connecting with real people who understand what you're going through. Our team at A Blountiful Life Experience brings together caring professionals who've been where you are—feeling accomplished on paper but stretched thin in reality. We created this space for one reason: to help busy, high-performing people like you find breathing room in your life again.
Our Mind of Kind approach means we treat you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms or challenges. We combine thoughtful conversations with comfortable surroundings to create an experience where you can finally let your guard down, speak honestly, and find practical ways forward. Every person on our team contributes to making ABLE a place where transformation feels possible and manageable—even for those who've spent years putting themselves last.
Meet the People Behind Your Experience
Angela Blount, PhD., LMHC-QS, LPC Licensed Mental Health Therapist
I created A Blountiful Life Experience after seeing too many accomplished people—including myself—caught in an exhausting cycle of achievement without fulfillment. You know that feeling: constantly pushing toward the next goal while barely acknowledging what you've already done. That persistent internal question of "When will it ever feel like enough?" while outwardly appearing to have it all together. If you're tired of measuring your worth by your productivity, know you're not alone.
As both a licensed therapist and a fellow high performer, I've been exactly where you are. Burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and difficulty saying "no" even when running on empty are familiar territories for me. In our work together, we'll examine the beliefs driving your achievement cycles, establish boundaries that honor your needs, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that exist beyond accomplishments and prioritizing others. I weave storytelling and curiosity into our sessions because I believe the narratives we create shape how we view our past, show up in our present and envision our future. I honor your expertise in your own life while gently opening doors to new possibilities and perspectives.
Let's be clear—I'm NOT your typical "How did that make you feel?" therapist. I show up as my complete self—straightforward, occasionally dramatic—with humor as my trusty sidekick. Therapy works best when it feels authentic, not performed. Add a strong cup of black coffee, a strong New York accent, and an appreciation for meaningful aesthetics—and you experience the essence of A Blountiful Life Experience.
When I'm not helping clients break free from the achievement and people-pleasing treadmill, you'll find me mentoring, traveling, spending time with my husband, trying new food, splurging on my unemployed dog, or adding things to my Amazon cart just because it brings me joy (even if I never hit "buy"). These small moments of authentic pleasure are exactly what I'll help you rediscover in your own life. Because I've learned what I help my clients discover: a truly blountiful life comes not from constant achievement but from authentic presence in all we do.
Joel Blount - Business Operations
When Angela and I built A Blountiful Life Experience, we wanted to create something different—a place where transformation isn't just talked about but actually happens. My business background from Florida A&M University's School of Business & Industry helps me create a solid foundation that supports your healing journey.
You might not see me during your therapy sessions, but my work touches every part of your experience here. From ensuring our rates stay affordable and services are accessible (no small feat in healthcare!) to creating a comfortable, welcoming environment where you can truly relax—these details matter when you're doing the hard work of personal growth.
My previous experience as a certified credit counselor taught me something important: well-being includes all parts of life, including practical matters like financial health. This holistic view shapes how we've built our practice to support you completely.
When I'm not behind the scenes at ABLE or working in my role at Florida A&M University, you'll find me cooking, fishing, or occasionally giving in when Angela wants to watch another Lifetime movie. These balanced moments of give-and-take are exactly what we hope you'll discover for yourself through our work together.
Ellie Parks - Intern
As a Healthcare Administration student who grew up with technology, I understand something important: when you're finally ready to reach out for support, the last thing you need is complicated paperwork or confusing systems.
My role at A Blountiful Life Experience is to remove those obstacles so you can focus on what matters—your growth and well-being. When you schedule an appointment, receive a friendly reminder, or handle billing matters, that's where I come in. I work behind the scenes to make these necessary steps feel simple and straightforward.
I believe that making these practical parts of your experience smooth and stress-free is its own form of care. After all, how many times have you put off something important because the process seemed overwhelming? My goal is to make connecting with the support you need as easy as possible.
While the therapists help you create meaningful change, I'm here ensuring that everything else—from your first phone call to your online portal—works seamlessly. Because sometimes, the smallest barriers can stand in the way of the biggest transformations.
