Meet the People Behind Your Experience
A Team Committed to You From First Contact to Lasting Change
When you finally reach out for support, you shouldn't have to perform strength one more time. From the moment you send your first email, make that phone call, or walk through our doors, you're met with people who genuinely understand what you're carrying because we've carried it too. We're not just professionals doing a job. Each of us knows what it's like to look accomplished on paper while feeling stretched impossibly thin. We've been everyone's reliable person while quietly wondering: who supports the supporter? We didn't stumble into this work; we were called to it by our own experiences of burnout, overextending, and the life-changing impact of finally receiving the support we'd been giving everyone else. That lived experience, combined with our clinical training and unwavering commitment to your well-being, is what makes the ABLE team different.
From the administrative team member who warmly responds to your inquiry, to the clinician who sits with you in your hardest moments, to the behind-the-scenes support ensuring everything runs smoothly, every person at ABLE is here because we believe high achievers deserve care that matches what they give others. You won't encounter indifference, rushing, or cookie-cutter treatment here. Every interaction, whether it's scheduling an appointment, processing a difficult session, or navigating insurance, is handled with the intentionality and respect you deserve.
ABLE’S Mind of Kind Philosophy
This isn't a clinical framework we borrowed from a textbook; it's how we fundamentally see you. You arrive here as a whole person with a meaningful story, not a problem to be solved or a diagnosis to manage. We meet you with genuine curiosity about your unique journey, compassion for what you've survived to get here, and evidence-based strategies that work in your real, complicated life, not some idealized version of it. In this space, you can let your guard down. You can speak honestly about what you're truly carrying without fear of judgment or being told to "just relax." You can explore patterns with curiosity instead of shame. And you can find sustainable ways forward that honor who you actually are, not who you think you're supposed to be.
Angela Blount, PhD., LMHC-QS, LPC Founder and Lead Clinician
I created A Blountiful Life Experience after witnessing too many accomplished people, including myself, trapped in an exhausting cycle of achievement without fulfillment. You know that feeling: constantly pushing toward the next goal while barely acknowledging what you've already conquered, that persistent internal whisper of "When will it ever feel like enough?" while outwardly appearing to have it all together.
As both a licensed therapist and a high performer, I've lived the burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the inability to say "no" even when running on empty. I understand what it's like to be everyone's rock while often wondering “what about me?” But here's what I've learned: understanding how we got here is just as important as figuring out where we're going.
My approach to therapy is grounded in really listening to people’s stories and experiences with compassion and curiosity. I start by meeting clients where they are, helping them put words to what they’ve lived through, and then gently working with them to uncover new meaning in those stories, even the ones they’ve told a hundred times before. I blend this with practical tools that help people handle stress, regulate emotions, and take steps toward the changes they want to see. At the heart of my work is the belief that in the right environment, everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and live more authentically when they feel truly understood and supported.
Joel Blount, Jr Co-Founder and Business Operations
When Angela and I envisioned A Blountiful Life Experience, we weren't just building another practice; we were solving a problem we'd both lived: finding quality support that doesn't require you to choose between getting help and taking care of all your other high-priority, competing to-do list responsibilities.
My business background from Florida A&M University's School of Business & Industry taught me the mechanics, but my personal experience taught me the mission. When someone's drowning in life logistics, therapy becomes another task instead of a refuge. I believe the desire for transformation shouldn't require you to have your entire life figured out first.
My goal is for ABLE to run like the supportive machine it is. While Angela helps you untangle your story and write new chapters, I'm orchestrating everything else so your only job is showing up. No insurance nightmares, no sterile waiting rooms, no choosing between prioritizing everyone above your mental health needs. Because everyone deserves more than just surviving their own life; they deserve support that makes thriving actually possible.
Ellie Parks Client Experience Coordinator
As someone who grew up with technology as my second language and is studying Healthcare Administration, I understand something that might surprise you: the biggest barrier to getting help often isn't finding the right therapist; it's navigating all the stuff that comes before you even sit down for your first session.
When you're already emotionally stretched thin and finally ready to reach out for support, the last thing you need is to battle confusing insurance forms, play phone tag to schedule, or wonder whether your payment went through. From the moment you schedule your first appointment to those gentle reminder texts that actually feel helpful rather than nagging, I'm orchestrating the behind-the-scenes technology and processes that make your experience seamless.
While Angela helps you untangle your story and create meaningful change, I'm here assisting Joel to ensure that everything else from your first curious click on our website to your seamless check-in process works so well you barely notice it. Because the most powerful transformations often happen when the smallest barriers disappear.
