ABLE offers virtual and in-person workshops on a variety of topics. Workshops are 60-90 minutes and can be tailored to clients’ needs.

The rate of mental health problems, including anxiety and depression, has steadily increased over the past several years among college students. It’s time to have a conversation about those who are struggling to manage their mental health in college. Facilitator will discuss how challenges with mental health affects academic performance. Coping skills will be covered. This is an interactive workshop.

Creating and accomplishing goals like a boss is an incredible feeling. However, many of us fail to reach our goals due to a variety of reasons (i.e lack of planning and preparing, procrastination, challenges with time management, etc.) This workshop is geared towards those who want to learn how to create and diligently work towards goals. Facilitator will discuss common barriers and obstacles that prevent people from tapping into their full potential to reach their desired goals.

Though self-management and time management are two important keys to becoming organized, self-management is far more important; however, most people don’t understand this. Most people stress time management and get frustrated when they are unable to reach their goals claiming the lack of time or issues with procrastination. Bottom line: many people tend to focus more on time, and less on themselves. Without realizing it, they end up doing the wrong things at the wrong time.
This workshop will discuss the importance of self-management and how it can lead to a more productive life. Participants will learn how to do the right things at that right time.

Trauma can affect many skills that are essential for learning. Trauma can lead to over-performing and underperforming. Trauma can also negatively affect people's sense of self, making it challenging for people to feel motivated, proud of hard work, and engaged in their learning. The facilitator will discuss types of trauma and how to overcome academic, professional, and personal challenges.
